For the second year in a row, Team Europe took home the Laver Cup which was held in Chicago.

Team Europe consisted of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Sasha Zverev, David Goffin, Kyle Edmund, and Grigor Dimitrov. Team World was presented by Kevin Anderson, Jack Sock, John Isner, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe and Nick Kyrigos.

After the first day, it seemed that Team Europe was the favorite to win taking a 3-1 lead. The only team that lost on Friday were Federer/Djokovic against Anderson/Sock. At the end of the second day, it appeared that Team World has serious chances of a comeback after Anderson beat Djokovic. But after dramatic third-day singles match between Roger Federer and John Isner, where Roger made an amazing comeback it was clear that Team Europe will prevail.

The final score was 13-8 for Team Europe. Next year Laver Cup will be held in Geneva, Switzerland. Some of the tennis experts are saying this will be the final year for Roger Federer, therefore Laver Cup will be hosted in his home country. We certainly hope to see him around for a few more years 🙂
