Aqua Running/Jogging

If you are constantly battling  injuries and have either knee, hip or low back issues you are well aware that is extremely hard to work off court to improve your stamina. That is the main reason why I have started working out in pool.

What is Aqua Running?

  • It simulates the actual running very closely
  • Runners should use flotation belt
  • While aqua jogging you have to adopt high-knee biomechanics
  • It is very close to real running in terms of cardiovascular demand, but lacks high intensity work
  • You might be more efficient in working out in warm water (as cold water produces heat loss to the water)
