Backhand Approach and Volley

This drill involves ladder and hitting.

  • Start by placing ladder on the baseline
  • Go through the ladder with combination in-in-out (back and forth movement)
  • Have your coach feed you 3 approach shots (backhand only)
  • Hit approach shots by jumping into the ball (right-to-right leg)
  • Finish drill with backhand volley
  • Do 10 reps (sets of 4 balls)
