Form Tips

Semi-Western Forehand Grip

In the last 10 years this has become the most used forehand grip on the pro tour, particularly with power baseliners.

Bevel: 4 (index finger)

Advantages: Allows players to put more topspin on the shots. The strike zone is higher, making great for to return high shots.

Disadvantages: The grip provides naturally closed face therefore making difficult to return low bouncing shots. Also have to be careful that there is significant change to continental grip.
